Digital Innovation Project Manager

Plan International UK strives to advance children’s rights and equality for girls all over the world. Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children. We have been building powerful partnerships for children for 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.
Within our Public Engagement department, the Business Improvement and Innovation Unit drives innovation and improvement across all activities; develops and implements new products, initiatives and opportunities, and determines and coordinates Public Engagement’s audience strategy. We are piloting a new digital engagement strategy in early 2018 and have secured a number of partners, both in the UK and internationally, to deliver a pilot to assess this new strategic approach.  We are recruiting a Digital Innovation Project Manager to lead on the development and delivery of the pilot. This is a one of a kind project offering the chance to make a personal impact for children globally, working with a sophisticated digital communication platform to deliver a supporter experience like no other.
Your responsibility will be to ensure the project is correctly planned, set-up and delivered. You will lead the coordination of partners, agencies and staff to ensure the pilot meets its objectives, and that performance and learning are maximised post go-live. You will also lead on monitoring and communicating results, including the development of strategic recommendations with the potential to generate millions of pounds for children, and create change on a global scale.
As an innovation project, the remit is to rapidly develop and test new methods and experiences with supporters, so you will need to be able to contribute towards a long-term strategic vision, whilst also resolving immediate technical, process and supporter issues as they occur.   You will bring expertise in creating and managing customer/supporter services and journeys, as well as designing, conducting and analysing marketing tests to improve business performance. In return you will gain the experience of working on a cutting-edge project with the potential for profound global impact.
The deadline for applications is 9:00am on Friday 8 December 2017
Interviews will take place on Friday 15 December 2017
Due to the nature of our work with children, we follow rigorous child protection policies and procedures in our recruitment process. As a result, some of our roles are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee or volunteer; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences.
