Technical Trainee

Job Purpose and Key Deliverables:
The job purpose is to provide technical support  to achieve optimal production quality and targets through the following:  
  • Optimizing operation of all  Front End & Back End related Equipment
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance of mechanical/electrical parts of Front End & Back End equipment
  • Performing Quality assurance checks as required
Job requirement:
  • HND/B.Eng./B.Sc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Basic reading, writing, and some advanced arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent and trade related training.
  • Should be computer literate and be able to input and analyse data
  • Able to interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic diagrams/drawings.
  • Ability to use hand tools to perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
  • Good workshop practice skills
  • 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing industry
  • Ability to work under pressure

Quality Control Technician

Details:
Job Description:
  • Initiates Data collection throughout the manufacturing process
  • Carry out final checks and approve for final dispatch to warehouse
  • Coordinate data collection for all shifts
  • Report to shift supervisor/ QC supervisor when  any parameter is pout of specification during manufacturing process
  • Will use Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to track trends and variables in the manufacturing process.
  • Read and take action on all items from the QAS logs
  • Conducts process control audits as requested
  • Review QC procedures and initiate plans to improve the existing product quality standards
Job Requirement
  • Minimum B.Sc/HND in any science discipline
  • Basic reading, writing, and some advanced arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Advanced skills should include Auditing and SPC 
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyse data collected in respect to product quality
  • Manual dexterity required for operating testing equipment and computers.
  • Ability to review colour  through complete colour spectrum
  • Previous ISO audit experience is preferred.

Washer Technician

Job Description
  • Monitor supply and quality of Process Water system.
  • Monitor Can washer chemical levels and adjust where necessary to maintain stable chemical conditions.
  • Monitor soluble oil system maintain or adjust concentration and Biocide levels as required.
  • Monitor operation of Waste Water Treatment plant
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on chemical process, equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Chemical process equipment and machinery.
  •  Work to and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
  • Make changes to Chemical levels using the Washer chemistry controller
  • Perform all Quality assurance checks as required
  • Ensure chemical stock levels are checked and maintained.
Job Requirement
    • University Degree in Industrial Chemistry or a related discipline
    • Minimum of 3  Years cognate experience
  • Basic reading, writing, and some advanced arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.

Job Requirement
  • Minimum of a University degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Not less than 2 years cognate experience in  related function in a manufacturing establishment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office, ERP packages.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

  • Develop strategic Maintenance plans by studying existing conditions and determining needs to accomplish operational plans.
  • Prepare Maintenance analysis of plant performance and efficiency
  • Oversee the scheduling of planned maintenance and manage critical, emergency and breakdown situations.
  • Plan and implement  Maintenance in line with budget and specifications
  • Manage mechanical maintenance engineering duties surrounding the production equipment and workshop
  • Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details.
  • Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
  • Analyse and resolve work problems within mechanical department.
  • Confer with other Managers and supervisors to coordinate activities with other departments
  • Manage emergency response activities
  • Design, document, and implement engineering solutions to provide maximum engineering effectiveness with the minimum of disruption to production and operations.
  • Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
Job Requirement
    • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical engineering
    • 10 years practical experience in a manufacturing firm
    • Knowledge of implementing and managing Predictive, Preventive & Corrective maintenance of production and ancillary machines; in a high speed, high technology, continuous manufacturing line.
    • Advanced computer skills consummate with tertiary education
    • Experience in Hydraulics & Pneumatics and Industrial Automation.
  • Able to interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic diagrams/drawings.
  • Quick decision making capabilities, in order to manage various circumstances
    • Good technical knowledge in managing the Maintenance of Mechanical/Electric/Electronic systems.
    • Good Knowledge mechanical parts & assembly and Sub Assembly and basic knowledge of electrical parts.
    • Ability to read, interpret data and create reports as required.
    • Ability to develop and promote good relationships with employees at all levels
